Lifeguard Training

Lifeguard Training: CBRC is pleased to offer Red Cross Lifeguard Training. Instruction will cover the duties and responsibilities of a lifeguard and how to carry them out in a professional manner. Participants who complete the training will be certified as lifeguards and will be eligible* to lifeguard at swimming pools in the State of Washington.
*(Some jurisdictions require additional training after hire.)

Youth Swim Lessons

Swim Lessons: Sign up for CBRC’s Youth Swim Lessons now. CBRC’s qualified swim instructors incorporate water safety into teaching your children how to swim and have fun. Classes are open to children of all ages and are offered in the morning, afternoon and evening. Find a class that fits your needs! Each class which is 30 minutes in length, must have at least three swimmers registered. An aide will be added for classes with more than four swimmers.

Pre-Swim Team: Designed for those interested in taking the next step toward swim team. This class, which will be mildly competitive, is for kids who love swimming and want to have fun. Swimmers who haven’t decided if swim team is right for them, will enjoy Pre-Swim Team. Class will include laps, drills, relay work, diving starts, and race/fun days.

Parent Tot Swim Lessons: Parent – Tot lessons are designed to introduce infants/ toddlers to the water. The emphasis of this hands-on class is to make children comfortable in the water while teaching them basic swimming skills. This instructor guided class gives parents the tools with which to teach their children front and back floats as well as how to put the face in the water. Ages 6 months - 3 years.

Adult Swimming

Prenatal Aquatics: Group exercise offers a social and educational setting for a healthier pregnancy. This aerobic class is designed to have you cushioned and supported in the water while providing a cardiovascular and strength workout. The soothing effect of the water provides a safe and conducive environment for prenatal exercise. For women who have just had a baby, the class jump starts the drive to get back in shape at the right pace.

Adult Swim Lessons: When it comes to exercise, swimming is the best way to get a Complete Work-out. Learn to swim in CBRC’s Beginner Adult Group Lesson program or learn endurance swimming with the advanced class. CBRC also offers Private Lessons. Please contact Cole Willis for more information.
