Lifeguard Training:

CBRC is pleased to offer Red Cross Lifeguard Training. Instruction will cover the duties and responsibilities of a lifeguard and how to carry them out in a professional manner. Participants who complete the training will be certified as lifeguards and will be eligible* to lifeguard at swimming pools in the State of Washington.
*(Some jurisdictions require additional training after hire.)

Prerequisites:

• Participants must be 15 years old by the end of class.
• Participants must be able to swim 300 yards continuously (non stop), swim 20 yards and dive to a depth of 10 feet to retrieve a 10-lb object and return with the object.
• Required skills: crawl stroke, breaststroke, and surface dive.
